Summary

Warehouse Operative

- Immediate Start Available | Highbridge | Monday to Thursday Working Pattern

- 36-hour week | Minimum 4-week assignment initially

- Reach Truck experience advantageous but not essential

- Every Friday off

Meridian Business Support is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse operation in Highbridge. This temporary assignment offers an immediate start and is expected to run for a minimum of four weeks initially.

This Warehouse Operative position would suit someone with previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with a valid Reach Truck licence or previous reach truck experience are encouraged to apply, although this is not essential as the role will involve a variety of warehouse duties.

The Role As a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include:

- Loading and unloading goods from lorries, trailers and containers

- Moving, stacking and storing stock safely within the warehouse

- Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch

- Carrying out stock movements and maintaining accurate inventory records

- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment

- Operating a Reach Truck where required and authorised

- Supporting the wider warehouse team with general operational duties

The successful Warehouse Operative will play an important role in ensuring stock is handled accurately, safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse operation.

Skills and Experience To be considered for this Warehouse Operative role, you will need:

- Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience

- Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately

- A reliable and flexible approach to work

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Reach Truck experience or a valid Reach Truck licence would be advantageous but is not essential

Applications are welcomed from candidates with experience as a Warehouse Assistant, Picker Packer, Logistics Operative, Goods In Operative, Stores Operative, FLT Driver or Warehouse Operative with Reach Truck experience.

Pay, Hours and Benefits

- £14.35 per hour

- Monday to Thursday

- 7:30am to 5:00pm

- 36-hour working week

- Every Friday off

- Immediate start available
