Just passed your Class 2 test and ready to get behind the wheel? We’re currently recruiting reliable HGV Class 2 Tipper Drivers in Ilkeston, offering £16.00 per hour, full-time hours and ongoing work.

Whether you’re newly qualified and looking to start your HGV career or an experienced driver seeking your next opportunity, this is a great chance to gain valuable experience in the aggregates and recycling industry while benefiting from regular work and early shifts.

You’ll be responsible for operating a Class 2 tipper vehicle, transporting aggregates and other materials between designated locations. You’ll follow instructions from the transport team, complete your journeys safely and work efficiently to meet daily schedules.

Your duties will include carrying out daily vehicle checks, ensuring loads are transported safely, completing the necessary paperwork and following site rules and health and safety procedures. You’ll also need to communicate professionally with colleagues and site personnel and maintain a reliable, safety-conscious approach throughout the working day.

If you’re newly qualified, this could be an excellent opportunity to take your first steps into commercial HGV driving and build your experience in the industry.

You must hold a valid UK HGV Class 2 licence with Category C entitlement, a valid Driver CPC and a Digital Tachograph Card.

Newly passed Class 2 drivers are encouraged to apply. Previous tipper driving experience is advantageous but not essential. You’ll need a good understanding of road safety, a reliable and professional attitude, and the ability to follow instructions and work safely around vehicles and site equipment.

This is a full-time position with early shifts, ideal for drivers who prefer starting their working day early. Regular hours are available, with the opportunity to maintain a consistent working routine.

The role pays £16.00 per hour, with full-time hours and ongoing reliable work. You’ll also benefit from up to 28 days’ annual leave accrued pro rata, alongside the opportunity to gain valuable commercial driving experience within the aggregates and recycling industry.
