HGV Class 1 Driver - Gateshead

The Best Connection is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Drivers in Gateshead to work with our client, delivering packaging products to destinations across England.

The Role - HGV Class 1 Driving

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out trunking runs to designated locations across England.

Delivering packaging products safely, efficiently and on time.

Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

Representing both our client and The Best Connection positively when making deliveries.

Attending an induction and successfully completing a driving assessment.

Previous experience in a similar Class 1 trunking role is desirable, as punctuality, efficiency and accurate deliveries are essential.

Requirements - Class 1 Driver Jobs

To be considered for this HGV Class 1 driving role, you must have:

A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence with a clean driving record.

At least one year of commercial Class 1 driving experience.

A professional appearance and positive attitude.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to provide reliable, timely and professional customer service.

HGV Class 1 Driver Pay Rates

The hourly PAYE rates for this role are:

Monday to Friday: £15.75 per hour.

Saturday: £18.75 per hour.

Sunday and Bank Holidays: £19.75 per hour.

Working Hours and Shifts

Start times vary depending on the shift and may include early-morning or late-morning starts.

Shifts are available on an ad hoc basis, with plenty of ongoing work available for suitable HGV Class 1 Drivers.
