We're working with a college in Walsall to recruit a

Student Success Officer on a full-time temporary basis until Christmas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to success.

The Role

As a Student Success Officer, you'll provide one-to-one support, monitor attendance and engagement, deliver workshops, and guide students towards positive progression routes including university, apprenticeships, and employment.

Key Duties

Deliver one-to-one student support sessions.

Monitor attendance and engagement, addressing concerns proactively.

Facilitate workshops on topics including PREVENT, British Values, wellbeing, resilience, and progression.

Support students with UCAS applications, interviews, and employability skills.

Work closely with tutors and safeguarding teams to support student success.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive college environment.

About You

Experience supporting and motivating young people.

Strong understanding of safeguarding, PREVENT, and challenges facing young people.

Knowledge of post-16 education and progression pathways.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Ability to build positive relationships and inspire confidence.

Essential Qualifications

Relevant Level 3 qualification in Teaching, Training, or Learner Support.

GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
