A well-established secondary school in Nottingham is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a fully site-based role, providing expert HR support and guidance to managers across the school within a wider trust hub model.
The Role
- As the HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted HR expert, supporting managers with a range of employee relations and people matters, including:
- Providing HR advice, guidance, and coaching to managers
- Supporting employee relations casework and HR best practice
- Overseeing recruitment processes and onboarding activities
- Assisting with payroll oversight and HR administration
- Working closely with the HR Business Partner supporting multiple schools across the trust
- Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and employment legislation
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or equivalent role
- Experience within a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) environment is highly desirable
- Strong employee relations and stakeholder management skills
- Recruitment and payroll oversight experience
- Local government, civil service, or fire service HR experience would also be advantageous
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with managers
