Summary
A Vacancy at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
As a Trust Medical Secretary within our Pain Management Centre, you will be at the heart of our service, acting as a key point of contact for patients, clinicians, GPs and other healthcare professionals. You will provide a high-quality secretarial and administrative service, helping to ensure patients receive timely, efficient and compassionate care while supporting our consultants and wider multidisciplinary team.
This role is perfect for someone who is highly organised, adaptable and able to prioritise competing demands. You will need excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
The Pain Management Centre is a supportive, collaborative and welcoming environment where every team member is valued. We work hard, support one another and celebrate success together. You will be joining an experienced team dedicated to improving the lives of patients living with chronic pain, where your contribution genuinely matters every day. We are looking for someone who embodies our PRIDE Values, so if that sounds like you, we would be keen to hear from you.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing patient and professional enquiries, processing clinical correspondence, maintaining waiting lists, scheduling appointments, supporting urgent admissions, coordinating clinical diaries, and ensuring patient records and information are accurate and up to date. You will work closely with consultants, Reception and the wider multidisciplinary team to help deliver a safe, effective and patient-focused service.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will need to balance competing priorities, respond to changing demands and use your initiative to resolve issues while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and confidentiality.
