Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our children’s residential home, supporting young people with learning disabilities (LD), autism, and complex needs. In this rewarding role, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment, encouraging independence, assisting with daily routines, and supporting children in engaging with educational and social activities. Ideal candidates will have a passion for person-centred care, strong communication skills, and a commitment to making a positive difference in vulnerable young lives.

Essential requirements

Preferred Experience working in a care, residential, or support setting (ideally with children or young people with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs). Skills & Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships. Resilience, patience, and a calm, proactive approach to managing challenging situations or behaviors. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as on your own initiative. Good record-keeping and observation skills. Qualifications & Requirements: Relevant qualification in health and social care (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards one.
