Summary
Provide professional nursing leadership and be accountable for the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective patient care. Lead and manage nursing and support staff, ensuring effective workforce planning, recruitment, retention, appraisal and professional development. Maintain clinical governance standards through the management of risk, incidents, complaints, audits and quality improvement initiatives. Monitor and improve service performance, ensuring compliance with Trust policies, national standards and regulatory requirements. Promote a positive patient experience by championing patient-centred care and responding to feedback to drive service improvements. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support service development, operational efficiency and achievement of organisational objectives. Provide visible clinical leadership, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and excellence in care. Ensure effective use of resources and contribute to the planning and delivery of service transformation programmes.
