  • Manage customer returns, product failure investigations, and quality complaints

  • Support supplier quality management, audits, and supplier development activities

  • Develop and maintain inspection plans for incoming goods and manufactured products

  • Ensure products conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards

  • Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and manufacturing process changes

  • Conduct internal quality audits and support the maintenance of the Quality Management System

  • Apply quality tools and techniques, including 8D problem solving, SPC, APQP, and Poka-Yoke

  • Manage measurement methods and inspection equipment to ensure accurate quality checks

  • Provide quality updates at production meetings and supplier or customer reviews

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business

  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, service, sales, and suppliers to resolve quality issues

  • Travel to other company sites, suppliers, and customers when required

Skills & Experience as a Quality Engineer

  • Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline

  • At least 3 years' experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally electromechanical

  • Experience with quality engineering methods, measurement techniques, and root cause analysis

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

  • Experience investigating non-conformities and implementing corrective and preventive actions

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

  • Experience with internal or supplier audits would be advantageous
