Summary
Our Birmingham walking advert has been busy; this one is for something else. We are after three self-employed pet sitters who can cover a dog when the owner is away: drop-in visits during the day, overnight stays, or a whole week of holiday cover.
You will be in the owner's house, not yours. Feeding, water, any tablets the owner has left out, a toilet break, a proper walk, and some company so the dog is not alone all evening. Owners want a daily message and a photo. If you would prefer to board dogs in your own home, you need a licence from the city council (or your own council) first, and the app lists that as a separate service from sitting.
WoofWalk is a UK booking app for dog owners. Pet sitting has its own listing in the app, so you are found by owners searching for sitting, not walking. You are self-employed: you set your price per visit and per night, you decide your dates, and owners book and pay through the app, with the money paid out to your bank. There is no wage and no guaranteed work.
Terms: nothing to pay to list. 0% commission for your first 14 days, then 15% of each booking, dropping to 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance.
