Summary

Job Advert

The candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the support needs of people with a Learning Disability and or Physical Disability.

The candidate will have experience of working in a care setting providing support for Service Users. Previous experience should include moving and handling experience, providing personal support for Service Users, enabling Service Users to achieve their individual outcomes and working in a team to provide appropriate activities both within the care setting and in the local community.

The candidate appointed should be of sufficient flexibility to undertake a wide variety of specialist tasks and be prepared to learn and develop skills beyond those which he or she brings initially to the job.

Desirable qualification for this post is SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.

Currently this post does not require registration with the SSSC however we anticipate this will change in the near future and when required the successful candidate will be expected to register with the SSSC and undertake the SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, if not already achieved.

If you are the successful candidate for this post, you will be working with children and/or vulnerable adults and therefore you must have PVG membership.
