•

Work-life balance: Four-day working week, one in three Saturdays and no routine out-of-hours.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing independent practice in Kent.

With an expanding client base, a varied caseload and further investment planned, this is an ideal time to join. You'll be part of a close-knit team where clinical freedom, collaboration and high standards of patient care are central to the way the practice operates.

As the team continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, develop your clinical interests and play a meaningful role in shaping the practice's future.

The Role

You'll be a confident GP vet, comfortable managing your own cases and happy working across the core areas of first-opinion practice.

The caseload includes consultations, preventative healthcare, medical work-ups, routine surgery and emergency procedures, with increasing opportunities to manage more complex cases.

You'll benefit from the support of a Lead Vet with a postgraduate certificate in small animal surgery, alongside access to an experienced visiting surgeon for orthopaedic procedures.

There's no requirement to hold a certificate or have a particular specialism. A solid grounding in small animal practice, good all-round clinical skills and a collaborative approach are what's most important.

Salary & Benefits

• £45,000–£70,000 salary, dependent on experience.

• Four-day working week, averaging 40 hours.

• One in three Saturdays.

• No routine out-of-hours work.

• 5.6 weeks' annual leave, including bank holidays.

• TOIL for bank holidays worked.

• RCVS and VDS fees paid.

• CPD encouraged and supported.

• Genuine clinical freedom within an independent practice.

Location

Based in the Kent countryside, the practice offers a pleasant rural setting, a welcoming local community and good transport links to London and the surrounding areas.
