Summary
Freelance Design Manager
As a
Design Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of major infrastructure projects, overseeing design assurance and ensuring works are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Optimising engineering assurance processes for designs developed by external design partners.
- Managing design changes and acting as the main point of contact for technical queries throughout the design and construction phases.
- Working closely with the client to understand their requirements and ensure these are successfully delivered.
- Maintaining compliance with design quality procedures and promoting a right-first-time approach.
- Ensuring compliance with Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) regulations and proactively managing design-related health and safety risks.
This Design Manager role is ideal for you if you:
- Have an engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Have experience delivering complex projects to time, cost and quality targets.
- Possess strong organisational, planning and communication skills.
- Are proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or BIM.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
