Summary

Teacher - STEM

Department: Engineering

Salary: £30,702 to £34,484 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent | Full time, 37 hours per week

As a STEM Teacher, you will plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons and learning activities that inspire learners and support them to achieve their potential. You will teach across a range of programmes, including Level 1–3 Diplomas, T Levels, Apprenticeships and specialist short courses where appropriate, ensuring learning is aligned to curriculum and awarding body requirements.

You will assess learner work and monitor progress, providing timely and constructive feedback that supports development and achievement. Through effective teaching, assessment and pastoral support, you will help learners build confidence in their subject area and develop the skills they need for future success.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities, helping to ensure programmes remain current, innovative and relevant to employer needs. You will also support the integration of emerging technologies and industry developments where appropriate.

A key part of the role will involve promoting safe working practices, equality, diversity and inclusion, and creating a learning environment where learners feel supported, challenged and motivated to succeed.
