Summary
General Assistant - London
At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a General Assistant to work with a leading catering provider in London. This fast-paced role is the engine behind the flight, involving the preparation and management of inflight catering and retail supplies in a chilled environment.
Shift patterns:
* Working 5 days out of 7 days.
* Rotational shifts.
* Flexibility for shifts and days is required.
Pay rates:
* 12.99 GBP hourly.
Must-have requirements for General Assistant:
* Must have lived in the UK for at least 5 years.
* Applicants must provide a 5-year background history and have no unspent convictions.
* All applicants must agree to a DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
* If an applicant has lived outside the UK for more than 6 months, they must provide a Police Clearance Certificate from the relevant authority.
Desirable requirements for General Assistant:
* Previous experience in a similar fast-moving, trolley-based or temperature-controlled environment is preferred.
* Experience working within a diverse, multi-cultural team is an advantage.
* Ability to perform regular manual handling and heavy lifting of up to 25 kg.
* Strong team player who is adaptable, flexible, reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
* Positive, energetic, can-do attitude with clear communication skills.
Role for General Assistant:
* Off-load airline trolleys and sort high-value catering items.
* Pack meals to exact specifications, including handling various meats.
* Prepare inflight retail supplies and assist with stock counts.
* Manage bonded goods while maintaining strict food hygiene standards in chilled environments.
