Summary

Secondary Teaching Assistant - Swindon

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them reach their full academic and personal potential? We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school team in Swindon. If you are ready to make a positive impact on the lives of students aged 11-16, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

Support individual students or small groups in lessons to help them access the curriculum effectively.

Assist pupils with additional learning needs (SEN), adapting tasks and resources where necessary to ensure inclusivity.

Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment throughout the school day.

Build strong, encouraging relationships with students to boost their confidence, motivation, and classroom engagement.

Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to monitor, track, and report on student progress.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people, whether in schools, youth work, sports coaching, or care settings.

Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with patience, adaptability, and strong classroom management support.

Attitude: A proactive, friendly, and reliable approach with a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives.

Requirements: An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).

Competitive Daily Rate: £92.56 - £95.00 per day, depending on your experience.

Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a consistent schedule of 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, during term time.
