What you will be doing
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEN requirements, including ADHD, ASC, SEMH, and MLD.
- Adapt classroom activities and learning materials to ensure they are accessible and suit individual student needs and learning styles.
- Help manage classroom behaviour by utilising positive reinforcement techniques.
- Assist students with emotional regulation, providing a calm and reassuring presence throughout the school day.
- Monitor student progress and report consistent feedback to the class teacher and the SENCO.
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment for every child.
What you bring to the table
Experience: Proven previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
Skills: You possess strong communication skills, patience, resilience, and an empathetic approach to education.
Adaptability: You have the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to the evolving needs of your students.
Compliance: An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
Right to Work: Full authorisation to work in the UK.
