Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

Start Date: ASAP

Essential: Level 3 Early Years qualification

Learning to share.

Recognising their own name.

Finding the confidence to join an activity.

Learning new words, making friends or finally managing something independently.

In Early Years, the smallest moments can represent enormous developmental steps.

A welcoming early years setting in Derby is looking for a qualified Level 3 EYFS Nursery Practitioner to join its team as soon as possible.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to help young children develop the communication, confidence, curiosity and independence that will provide the foundations for everything that comes next.

You'll work alongside the Nursery Teacher and wider EYFS team to create an environment where children feel safe enough to explore, experiment and learn.

Your day will include:

- Creating engaging play-based learning experiences.

- Supporting development in line with the EYFS Framework.

- Encouraging early communication, language and literacy.

- Introducing early maths through practical activities and play.

- Supporting children's social and emotional development.

- Observing children and contributing to assessments and learning journeys.

- Helping children develop independence and school-readiness skills.

- Providing additional support for children with SEND where required.

- Encouraging positive relationships and behaviour.

- Communicating with colleagues and families about children's development.

- Providing personal care, including toileting and changing, sensitively and respectfully where needed.

We're looking for someone who understands that young children don't all develop at exactly the same pace or in exactly the same way.

You'll need to be patient enough to let children try, creative enough to make learning exciting and observant enough to recognise when a child may need a little more support.

You must hold a Level 3 Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner qualification or recognised equivalent.

You'll also ideally have:

- Previous nursery or EYFS experience.

- A good understanding of the EYFS Framework.

- Knowledge of early childhood development.

- Confidence supporting communication, language, literacy and numeracy.

- A nurturing and child-centred approach.

- The ability to work effectively as part of an Early Years team.

- A genuine enthusiasm for helping young children develop.

An Enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and relevant pre-employment checks will be required.

You'll be joining an experienced and supportive Early Years team within a well-resourced environment designed around learning through play.

You'll benefit from:

- £110-£120 per day.

- Weekly pay.

- A full-time, long-term position.

- Immediate/ASAP start.

- Free EYFS, SEND and Safeguarding CPD.

- Opportunities to develop your Early Years experience.

- Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant.

The setting is based in Derby, DE23, with good access from Littleover, Normanton, Sunny Hill, Mickleover and Sinfin.

Early Years isn't simply preparation for school.

It's where children begin developing their confidence, communication, independence and curiosity about the world around them.

If you're a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner in Derby looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity, apply today with your up-to-date CV.
