Summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Warehouse Operative / Driver to join a busy and established furniture distribution business based near Tarporley, Cheshire.

If you enjoy practical, hands-on work and are looking for a role that offers variety, stable weekday hours and the opportunity to secure a permanent position, this could be the role for you.

As a Warehouse Operative / Driver, you'll play an important part in ensuring customer orders are processed, loaded and delivered safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include:

- Picking and preparing furniture orders for dispatch

- Unloading containers and moving stock throughout the site

- Loading and securing products onto company vehicles

- Completing local and regional deliveries using a 3.5-tonne van

- Processing returns and carrying out basic product checks

- Maintaining accurate stock locations and keeping work areas organised

- Supporting colleagues to ensure orders are completed on time

- Following safe manual handling and health and safety procedures

This Warehouse Operative / Driver opportunity offers a good balance of warehouse duties and driving responsibilities, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy a varied working day.

To be successful as a Warehouse Operative / Driver, you will need:

- A full UK driving licence

- Confidence driving 3.5-tonne vehicles

- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics, delivery driver, van driver or dispatch environment

- The ability to perform regular manual handling and heavy lifting

- A reliable and positive approach to work

- Good attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team

Please note: Due to the client's vehicle insurance requirements, applicants must be aged 25 or over.

- Weekly pay

- Monday to Friday working

- No weekend shifts

- Day shifts, 8:00am - 5:00pm
