Summary

Inspired is a market leading, technology-enabled provider of energy and sustainability solutions in the UK - supporting businesses to transition to net zero carbon and manage their response to climate change.

Established in 2000, we became the first publicly quoted advisor following a successful AIM debut in 2011. We are now the UK’s number one destination for businesses seeking expert insight and advisory services to help them manage their energy costs, reduce their carbon emissions and prove their net zero carbon and ESG strategies to their investors and customers

We are looking for a

Client Estate Analyst to join our successful I&C Division. This role is

home based with occasional travel to offices required.

Role and Responsibilities

The Client Estate Analyst (CEA) manages day-to-day estate activity for a portfolio of large, high-value, multi-site clients whose estates change frequently. Working closely with the Account Manager, the CEA is the client's day-to-day contact for site and supply queries, building strong relationships and keeping their estate running smoothly.

In practice, the CEA will:

  • Be the client's first point of contact for non-billing site and supply queries
  • Take each new site from pipeline through to a live supply contract
  • Keep the client's estate records accurate across Sugar CRM and client site lists
  • Coordinate with other Inspired teams, suppliers and third parties to resolve issues
  • Work alongside the Account Manager in client meetings and calls

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

New site onboarding and pipeline management

  • Manage each client's pipeline of new sites, working with clients, landlords, developers and estates teams to ensure supplies are live by the opening date
  • Gather utilities data for each new site, including meter details and the current supplier, and verify live dates using industry data systems
  • Arrange changes of tenancy with incumbent suppliers so the client becomes the registered customer, following up with the client for any missing information
  • Add new sites to the client's group utility contracts
  • Collaborate with other delivery teams to ensure services such as meter operation are contracted for each new supply
  • Support the technical services team in securing supply contracts for new connections
  • Maintain a complete document record for each new site, including tenancy forms, signed contracts and supplier confirmation

Estate management and data accuracy

  • Maintain accurate site and meter records in the CRM system (Sugar) and client site lists, in line with each client's requirements
  • Add new sites and meters to the CRM and keep details such as cost codes and supply capacities up to date
  • Raise bulk update requests with the CRM support team where required
  • Update records when a client vacates a site, once the billing team has notified the supplier
  • Ensure site data used for tenders and projects is accurate and complete

Query management and issue resolution

  • Maintain accurate site and meter records in the CRM system (Sugar) and client site lists, in line with each client's requirements
  • Add new sites and meters to the CRM and keep details such as cost codes and supply capacities up to date
  • Act as the first point of contact for non-billing client queries, working with other Inspired teams to resolve them
  • Help resolve supplier objections that delay a site's transfer into the client's name
  • Resolve supply issues such as meters transferred in error, disputed meter responsibility, unregistered supplies and incorrect meter data
  • Support the water team with water projects

Client support and reporting

  • Attend client meetings and calls with the Account Manager as required
  • Produce client-specific operational reports as required
  • Issue contract termination notices to suppliers when instructed by the Account Manager
  • Support the Account Manager with tenders and other client projects

Read and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.

Personal attributes

  • Highly organised, able to manage a high volume of sites and deadlines across multiple clients
  • Proactive in chasing information and following issues through to resolution
  • Comfortable acting as the client's day-to-day contact and building trusted relationships
  • Collaborative, working closely with Account Managers and operational teams across Inspired
  • Self-motivated and effective when working from home

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Essential

  • Experience in the UK energy industry, for example with a consultancy, broker or supplier
  • Understanding of how business energy supplies are set up, connected and moved between occupiers
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
  • Confident communicator with clients, suppliers and internal teams, by phone, email and in meetings
  • High attention to detail and accurate record keeping

Desirable:

  • Experience using Sugar CRM or a similar CRM system
  • Experience using industry data systems to check meter and supply details
  • Understanding of electricity and gas meter types and metering services
  • Experience with business water supplies
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
