We are recruiting a
Family Assessment Worker to support families within a specialist residential assessment service in Coventry. You will observe parenting capacity, monitor family interactions, complete detailed reports, and contribute to safeguarding and child protection assessments.
This role requires flexibility to work a mixture of
day and night shifts, including occasional lone working on nights, within a 24-hour residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Observe and assess parenting abilities
- Monitor childcare routines and family interactions
- Complete detailed observation records and reports
- Support families to develop positive parenting skills
- Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Complete day and overnight observations as required
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and families at all times
Requirements
- Experience in family support, safeguarding, child protection, or residential care
- Strong observation and report-writing skills
- Ability to produce factual, professional records
- Flexible to work both day and night shifts, including lone working when required
- Good understanding of safeguarding practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
