Summary

VOICE & INFLUENCE LEAD – YOUNG HEALTH PROGRAMME

This is an exciting opportunity to join Barnardo's partnership with AstraZeneca to deliver the Young Health Programme within the UK.

This high-profile partnership combines direct support, youth participation, and social change, ensuring young people's voices influence the services, resources, and decisions that affect their lives.

Do you want to play a leading role in reducing health inequalities for young people aged 10-24yrs?

Are you passionate about young people driving change for young people?

Too many young people are growing up in poverty and food insecurity; missing out on a healthy childhood. The lack of access to a healthy diet is increasing their risk of non- communicable diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes, and reducing their chance of thriving as adults.

The successful candidate will coordinate and support 13 Young Co-Designers with lived experience of poverty to influence change and co-produce solutions that improve outcomes for young people experiencing health inequalities.

We're looking for someone who brings:

Experience of supporting young people to participate in decision-making, co-production, campaigning, advocacy or influencing activities.

Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young people from diverse backgrounds.

Confidence building relationships with corporate partners, senior stakeholders and multi-agency partnerships.
