Summary

Location: Morpeth, Northumberland

Pay: £17.00 per hour + £26.00 night-out allowance

Shifts: Monday to Friday, with weekend overtime available

The Best Connection (Newcastle) is recruiting a

Class 1 Tramper Driver on behalf of a well-established, family-run haulage company based in Northumberland.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected specialist distribution business operating a modern, well-maintained fleet, predominantly Mercedes-Benz. If you enjoy life on the road, take pride in your work and are comfortable with overnight stays, this could be the ideal role for you.

The Role

Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles with Chipliner trailers.

Transport high-volume wood products to destinations across the UK.

Complete deliveries safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Carry out vehicle checks and maintain high standards of vehicle care.

Work Monday to Friday, with overnight stays throughout the working week.

Take advantage of additional weekend overtime when available.

Pay & Benefits

£17.00 per hour basic pay.

£26.00 night-out allowance for overnight stays.

Paid breaks included.

Weekend overtime available to increase your earnings.

Weekly pay every Friday.

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.

Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.

A reliable, professional approach to work.

Comfortable with tramping and overnight stays away from home.

Previous Class 1 experience preferred, but newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply.
