Summary
Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for full details of the role, responsibilities and essential requirements. Before applying, please ensure you carefully read the following information: C1 Driving Licence: This role involves driving an ambulance, so you must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points and obtain C1 entitlement. If you do not currently have C1, you can still apply. However, you will need to obtain the C1 provisional entitlement first, followed by the required C1 training and test to gain your full C1 entitlement. You must hold your full C1 entitlement before you can start induction. If you are interested in this role and do not yet have C1 provisional entitlement, we strongly recommend applying for it as soon as possible, as this will help prevent delays during the recruitment process. Further information and guidance on obtaining C1 will be provided during the recruitment process. Essential Qualifications: At the time of application, you must hold and be able to provide official certificate evidence of 3 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Mathematics, plus one other GCSE, or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2 qualifications. Your official qualification certificates must be available at the application stage. Your application will not be progressed or reviewed if you are unable to provide the required certificate evidence at this stage. If you do not currently have your official certificates, you should contact the relevant examination board(s) to obtain replacement certificates or official confirmation of your qualifications. Please note that if you are unable to provide the required evidence at the application stage, you should not apply until you are able to do so. Recruitment and Induction: Interviews will take place from January 2027, with successful candidates expected to commence induction and training from April 2027 onwards. If you meet the essential requirements and are looking to start a rewarding career in emergency care, we would encourage you to apply. This is an exciting opportunity to join Yorkshire Ambulance Service, gain a nationally recognised qualification and make a real difference to patients and communities across Yorkshire.
