Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dietitian to join the Children’s Integrated Community Service.

We are looking for a highly-motivated, friendly and enthusiastic person who should have dietetic experience of working in a healthcare setting.

The service sits within the wider Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR) Children’s Integrated Health Services Directorate. There are currently three dietitians, a dietetic assistant, admin support and accessible management.

The paediatric dietetic team is based at Callaghan House in Heywood, working across HMR in a variety of settings to deliver services to children and young people from 0 – 19 years, and their families, with a wide range of difficulties and disabilities.

The team enables children with a wide range of difficulties and disabilities to maximise their nutritional status, and overall growth and development in the community. Service delivery takes place in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, children and young people’s homes, nurseries, schools and health centres. This can be on a one to one basis, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and/or delivering group sessions.

The post holder will:

Provide evidence-based dietetic care (allergies, home enteral feeding, fussy/sensory eaters, nutritional deficiencies, weight management) according to the individual needs of each patient.

Provide continued support to the rest of the team.

Record patient information accurately and in line with policies.
