Teacher Active is looking to expand our pool of enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated
Primary Teaching Assistants to support our partner schools across Mansfield and the surrounding areas.
We work closely with a range of mainstream primary schools and regularly receive requirements for Teaching Assistants across EYFS, Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
With opportunities ranging from day-to-day supply and short-term cover to longer-term placements, this is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking flexible work or more consistent hours.
The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will help support pupils' learning, development and wellbeing within the classroom. Depending on the school's requirements, your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting pupils with their learning and classroom activities.
• Working with small groups or providing 1:1 support.
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Supporting pupils who may need additional help or encouragement.
• Working closely with teachers to create a positive learning environment.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:
• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Experience in a school, nursery or educational setting.
• A good understanding of the UK Primary Curriculum.
• Confidence supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A positive, patient and proactive approach.
• The flexibility and reliability to work across different schools.
