FNOL Claims Handler – Motor | Bolton (BL7) | £26,500 – £30,000 | Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm | Three seats

35 hours, Monday to Friday. No evenings, no weekends, no rota. Free parking. Fully funded CII.

We're recruiting three FNOL Claims Handlers for the motor claims team of an established, FCA-regulated general insurance business on the edge of Bolton. If you're an FNOL Claims Handler already, or you handle first notification and accidental damage claims on a motor desk, this is worth ten minutes of your time.

Three seats means this isn't a single vacancy with a hundred people chasing it. It's a team being built, and they want FNOL Claims Handlers who'll stay and grow with it.

Why people move for this one: it's usually not the money. It's that an FNOL Claims Handler here works 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, and that's it. No late shifts, no Saturday rota, no on-call. What you'll be doing:

- Taking first notification of loss on motor claims, getting the detail right first time and telling the customer honestly what happens next

- Handling accidental damage claims through to settlement: engineers, repairers, salvage, courtesy cars, third parties

- Validating cover, investigating liability and making the decision

- Running your own caseload by phone and in writing, and keeping every file moving

- Spotting fraud indicators and escalating them

- £26,500 – £30,000 depending on experience, with annual salary reviews

- 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, flexible start and finish, hybrid after probation

Being straight with you: it's five days a week on site until you've passed probation, so hybrid isn't there from day one.
