Hays Education are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Batley to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Health & Social Care and Child

Development Teacher for a long-term assignment commencing immediately.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to join a supportive department and make a real impact on students studying vocational and academic pathways linked to health, social care and early years education.

The RoleYou will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across:

Health & Social Care

Child Development

Related vocational qualifications (where applicable)

You will:

✅ Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire learners.

✅ Assess, monitor and support student progress

✅ Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

✅ Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement

✅ Contribute to the wider life of the school

The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:

Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Has experience teaching Health & Social Care and/or Child Development

Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Demonstrates a passion for supporting young people to succeed

Is able to start immediately and commit to a long-term role
