Summary

As Payroll Manager at Intrinsic Financial, you will oversee payroll services for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. You will manage PAYE, pension contributions and HMRC submissions, handle client queries, and keep payroll records up to date. Working closely with our accounting team, you will maintain compliance with payroll legislation and deliver a reliable, professional service.

Essential requirements

Strong knowledge of payroll processes, PAYE, National Insurance and statutory payments. Experience managing payroll for multiple clients with different pay schedules. Proficiency in payroll software, Microsoft Excel and HMRC reporting systems. Understanding of workplace pensions and automatic enrolment requirements. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing pay and maintaining records. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. Clear, professional communication when handling client and employee queries. Ability to resolve payroll discrepancies and deal confidently with HMRC enquiries. Team management skills, including supervising staff and reviewing their work. Discretion when handling confidential employee and financial information.
