What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work in our friendly and highly-effective school. Our LSA team are highly-skilled and we are looking for candidates who are ambitious and determined that Penn Wood children get the very best. The candidate will support children at Penn Wood and secure their access to the curriculum and teaching.
This is a fixed term role and the successful candidate could make an immediate start, subject to safeguarding process. The contract woud be renewed at the end of the Spring term.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, the LSA team and other professionals to help children—including those with additional needs—communicate effectively, access our high-quality curriculum, developing confidence and independence.
You will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment and will be skilled at supporting pupils in both independent learning and play, helping them to build relationships with their peers. You will be deeply-invested in our community and ambitious for all children, demonstrating how you ensure all children gain access to the educational experiences they deserve and helping to deliver our excellent curriculum.
