Position: Locum Senior House Officer (SHO) – General Medicine

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Locum SHO in General Medicine to join a busy NHS Trust. The successful candidate will support the medical team in providing high-quality patient care across a range of acute and general medical services. This is an excellent opportunity for doctors with previous NHS experience who are available to start immediately.

Essential Requirements

• Must hold a valid GMC registration with a licence to practise

• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is essential

• Must have previous NHS experience

• Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK

• Available to start ASAP

• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, investigate, and manage patients admitted under General Medicine

• Participate in ward rounds, patient reviews, and discharge planning

• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions under consultant supervision

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Liaise with nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, and senior clinicians

• Ensure compliance with NHS clinical governance and patient safety standards
