Summary
Job description Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Reception Meet and greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. Assist patients with enquiries, signposting them to the most appropriate service where necessary. Respond to patient queries both in person and over the telephone. Support patients with appointments, registrations and general practice services. Always maintain patient confidentiality. Administrative Duties Process incoming hospital correspondence, including filing and clinical coding of letters and reports. Process prescription requests accurately and efficiently. Respond promptly to emails received by the practice. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required. Undertake general administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the practice. Safeguarding & Compliance Identify and escalate any safeguarding concerns or requests appropriately. Follow all practice policies, procedures and information governance requirements. Support the practice in maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. Premises & Operational Support Carry out routine site and building checks as required. Ensure the building is secure at opening and closing times. Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of clinical and office supplies. Report maintenance issues or concerns promptly. Teamworking Work collaboratively as part of a team of four within the reception and administration function. Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute positively to team objectives. Participate fully in the shared workload and demonstrate flexibility where required. Promote a positive, patient-focused culture throughout the practice.
