We are seeking a Mailroom & Delivery Clerk to run the day-to-day post and delivery service within a secure corporate environment.
The successful candidate will receive, security-check, sort and distribute post and courier deliveries, prepare outgoing mail, and support the smooth operation of mailroom services.
Job Description
Working as part of the Front of House/service team, you will also assist with loading bay activities, room set-ups, furniture moves, and site deliveries using the site van.
This is not purely a warehouse or mail-sorting position and requires strong customer service and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and process all incoming post, parcels and courier deliveries.
Carry out security checks and X-ray screening of incoming items.
Sort and distribute incoming mail accurately to the relevant departments.
Scan specified correspondence into digital document management systems.
Complete scheduled internal mail runs, including the handling of sensitive documentation.
Collect outgoing post and parcels and prepare items for dispatch using franking machines and Royal Mail services.
Arrange and process UK and international courier shipments using systems such as DHL and FedEx.
Support loading bay operations, including receiving larger deliveries, room set-ups, furniture moves, and site delivery runs using the site van.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Strong customer service experience, ideally within a corporate, facilities, workplace or other professional environment.
Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills.
Comfortable carrying out a role involving physical mail handling, deliveries and the movement of goods.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential or classified material.
Proactive, practical and problem-solving approach.
Ability to investigate and resolve delivery issues and discrepancies.
Full driving licence required.
