Summary

Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for wound care, clinical excellence and delivering a positive patient experience? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic nurse to join our team and lead the Plastics Dressing Clinic at Charing Cross Hospital.

The Plastics Dressing Clinic is an integral part of our Plastic Surgery service, based within a nationally recognised tertiary referral centre. The department manages a high volume of complex cases, including breast and head and neck reconstructive surgery, providing an exciting opportunity to develop and enhance your specialist wound care expertise.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, providing high-quality, evidence-based wound care and ensuring every patient receives compassionate, personalised care.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse who is passionate about specialist wound management, patient-centred care and working within a dynamic, highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

 

 

• To provide high quality, effective, individualized care to all patients by assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating them without supervision

• To act as a high profile, accessible and responsive leader with clinical responsibility within the specialist plastic surgery and wound care clinic.

• To make informed decisions within own area and scope of professional practice to ensure agreed standards, objectives and targets are met.

• Monitor standards of nursing care and take appropriate action to maintain and improve them

• To ensure  smooth running of the Plastic Dressing Clinic

• To provide cover and advice to other specialties as required

• To effectively line manage own roster ensuring that annual leave and holidays a booked in advanc
