Join an Outstanding Nursery Team

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to provide lunch cover at our client's outstanding nursery in Surbiton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified childcare professional looking for part-time hours within a supportive and nurturing nursery environment. Working Monday to Friday from 11:00am to 3:00pm, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing during key parts of the nursery day.

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can learn through play, develop confidence, and thrive.

Essential Requirement

You must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or an equivalent recognised qualification to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage learning through play.

• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children.

• Observe and assess children's development and contribute to progress records.

• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.

• Support the smooth running of daily nursery routines.

• Follow and implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Work collaboratively with the nursery team to support children's development.

• Promote positive learning experiences and contribute to the nursery's high standards of care and education.

• Act as a positive role model and demonstrate best practice in early years education.

About You

Essential

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.

• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Genuine passion for working with young children.

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

• Commitment to providing outstanding care and education.

Desirable

• Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years setting.

• Understanding of child development and early years best practice.

• Ability to contribute ideas and initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
