Summary

Designer/ CAD Operator - Sussex

We are seeking an experienced Designer / CAD Operator to join an established facade/ cladding/ external works company operating across the South East of England.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and design information for facade and cladding projects, working closely with project managers, site teams, architects and engineers to ensure designs are accurate, compliant and delivered to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce detailed CAD drawings for facade, cladding and rainscreen systems.

Prepare technical drawings, elevations, sections and fabrication details.

Interpret architectural drawings, specifications and project requirements.

Liaise with internal teams, clients, architects and subcontractors.

Ensure drawings meet project specifications, relevant standards and deadlines.

Assist with design coordination, revisions and as-built drawings.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a CAD or design role within the facade, cladding or construction industry.

Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit or other 3D design software would be advantageous.

Strong understanding of technical drawings and construction detailing.

Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.
