Summary

Clarence House Day Nurseries is a group of 15 nurseries in East Anglia and East Midlands.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our Godmanchester Preschool team, supporting the Preschool Manager and helping lead our staff to deliver outstanding care.

You will be working 40 hours a week with a salary from £13.75 per hour.

We’re looking for someone self-motivated, passionate and a team player, with a genuine desire to care for children in a safe and stimulating environment.

You’ll also need:

- A Level 3 or equivalent Early Years Childcare/Nursery Nurse qualification;

- A minimum of 2 years’ work experience after qualifying;

- A good understanding of the latest EYFS framework;

- A good understanding of nursery safeguarding policies and procedures;

- The confidence to work with parents and encourage their involvement;

- Good verbal and written communication skills;

- Willingness to continue professional development.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Ensure the smooth running of the nursery in the Manager’s absence;

- Deputise for the management whilst ensuring the nursery is suitably staffed;

- Deliver the highest quality childcare for all children whilst maximising parent satisfaction;

- Lead by example, challenge and support staff to realise and achieve their true potential;

- Carry out all SEN provision within the nursery and complete the necessary paperwork;

- Safeguard children at all times.
