Summary

THIS IS A SELF-EMPLOYED OPPORTUNITY, NOT EMPLOYMENT.

Moorstead Home & Garden is a local service in Adlington offering gardening, odd-jobs, decluttering and home tech help to households across Adlington, Chorley, Coppull, Horwich, Blackrod and the nearby villages. Self-employed helpers carry out these bookings.

How it works: bookings are offered to every helper who covers that village and does that kind of work. You accept the ones that suit you and decline the rest, with no consequence. There are no minimum hours. You invoice Moorstead at £20 an hour through a self-billing arrangement, paid weekly or fortnightly. £20 an hour is above the National Minimum Wage before any costs. You use your own basic tools.

Costs you would pay up front:

• Basic DBS check: £20 (GOV.UK)

• Public liability insurance (£2m): typically around £80–£150 a year

• For odd-jobs or decluttering: asbestos awareness training, about £24–£36

• If you take waste away in your own vehicle: any extra your motor insurer charges to cover it
