Summary

Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal Hospital

Upminster, Essex | Full or Part-Time Considered

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, ideally with a surgical bias, to join their thriving RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital in Upminster.

This is a great opportunity to join a large, supportive and forward-thinking team within a busy first and second opinion practice, offering a varied and interesting caseload.

The Role

The practice offers a genuine

four-day working week, with 8-hour shifts falling between 7am and 10pm, helping to provide a good work-life balance.

The rota includes:

• A set day off each week

• 1 in 4 weekends

• An additional 1 in 8 Saturday shift at the Brentwood branch

• Shift overlap to allow effective handovers and help colleagues leave on time wherever possible

• Full or part-time working considered

About the Hospital

This is a large and well-equipped RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital with excellent facilities, including:

• Digital radiography

• Ultrasonography

• Endoscopy

• Separate dog and cat wards

• Isolation facilities

• Modern theatre facilities

• Advanced multiparameter monitoring equipment

The Ideal Candidate

This role would suit an experienced and motivated Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working as part of a large team and wants to continue developing their clinical skills.

A

surgical interest or bias would be particularly welcomed, with orthopaedics an added bonus, although this isn't essential.

The practice is keen to support professional development and aims to provide certificate-level services across a range of disciplines.

Benefits

• Funded and encouraged CPD

• Certificate support

• Paid RCVS registration fees

• Staff discount scheme

• Supportive and collaborative team

• Regular social and team-building events

• Strong focus on wellbeing and work-life balance
