Summary
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer to join our specialist radiotherapy team and contribute to the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate cancer care.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and technical expertise in radiotherapy, delivering high-quality treatment while ensuring patient safety, treatment accuracy and an exceptional standard of patient-centred care. You will work confidently across the radiotherapy pathway, using sound clinical judgement to manage a range of patient needs and complex clinical situations.
As a senior member of the radiotherapy team, you will provide clinical support, guidance and supervision to Band 5 radiographers, students and support staff. You will act as a positive professional role model, promoting high standards of practice, effective teamwork and a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with Clinical Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Dosimetrists, Therapeutic Radiographers, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure treatment is delivered safely, accurately and efficiently. You will contribute to treatment verification, image-guided radiotherapy, patient assessment and the management of treatment-related issues, in accordance with local protocols and professional standards.
