Summary

Location: Bury

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Pay: £115+ per day, dependent on experience

Contract: Full-time

We are looking for a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN provision within a school in Bury.

The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and develop their communication, independence and social skills. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to provide consistent, individualised support throughout the school day.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is confident working in a specialist setting and wants to make a genuine difference to pupils with additional needs.

The Role

- Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs

- Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required

- Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and participate in activities

- Helping children develop their communication, independence and social skills

- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour

- Following individual support plans and EHCP targets

- Working closely with teachers and other professionals

- Creating a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

- A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare or a relevant SEN-related qualification

- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN

- Experience within a specialist or SEN provision

- A good understanding of additional needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD or complex needs

- A calm, patient and consistent approach

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team

- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
