Job description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant.Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is essential to refer to these when submitting an application and advise of the days/hours you are available.
This role will require 7 hours during the week (split into 3.5 hours per day) and 4 hours at the weekend (split into 2 hours per day)
Job purpose: Support a 47 year old spiritualist lady living with her wife with domestic care, personal care, and social activities.The employer wishes to stay as independent as possible, but requires support with tasks that they find challenging to complete. They are house proud, therefore having attention to detail when completing the domestic care will be an advantage.Location: East Winch, PE32Details:- Housework i.e. laundry, hoovering.- Food preparation- Support with showering- Support with getting dressed- Support with continence care
- Assist with food shopping- Support with days out- Support walking the dog- Support with medical appointmentsPerson Specification:Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success.Essential:- Full UK Driving licence - May be required to drive employers car.- Good with animals specially cats and dogs- Female due to personal care aspect of role- Experience in the care industry - Experience with one to one working- Flexible- Reliable- Attention to detailDesirable:- Cleaning experience- Experience working with individuals with mental health issues- Experience working with individuals with physical disabilitiesSummary Terms and Conditions- The rate of pay for this position is £15.43 p/h.
- Hours and times of work are as follows: two mornings a week of 3.5 hours each day 10am-1.30pm. Days to be discussed at interview.
- There will be 4 hours at the weekend, 2 hours per day, in which the start time for these days will differ due to plans/medical requirements, therefore flexibility will be required.
- Cover will also be needed over the school holidays to cover other PAs annual leave.
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
