Summary

Vehicle Technician – Egham

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Mechanic to join a busy fleet workshop in Egham. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have strong servicing and repair experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. LCV experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Location: Egham

Salary: £39,729 basic

OTE: £45,729 including bonus and overtime

Hours: 42.5 hours per week – day shifts only

Overtime: Regularly available, paid at time and a half

Vehicle Technician Role

- Service, maintain and repair a varied fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles

- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults

- Carry out vehicle inspections and MOT preparation work

- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently

- Ensure vehicles remain safe, roadworthy and legally compliant

- Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately

- Maintain high repair standards while minimising vehicle downtime

Vehicle Technician Requirements

- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent – essential

- Previous Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanic experience

- Strong servicing, maintenance and mechanical repair skills

- Diagnostic and electrical fault-finding experience

- LCV or van experience advantageous but not essential

- Full UK Driving Licence – essential

- Looking for a stable, long-term position with ongoing technical development

- Right to work in the UK
