This temporary daytime role would suit a reliable and safety-conscious driver who takes pride in delivering a professional service.Key responsibilities• Carry out planned delivery and collection routes safely and efficiently• Complete vehicle checks before and after each shift• Load, secure and unload goods in line with safety procedures• Follow route instructions, delivery schedules and site requirements• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records• Communicate professionally with depot colleagues and delivery locations• Report any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptly• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentationSkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 1 licence, Category C+E• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)• Previous commercial driving experience• Good knowledge of UK roads and route planning• A safe, responsible and professional approach to driving• Good communication and customer service skills• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively• Physically able to carry out loading and unloading duties where required• Flexibility and reliability for temporary daytime workAbout the companyThe company is a family-owned food retailer with a nationwide operation, supported by dedicated distribution centres and transport teams.
