Are you highly organised, confident communicating with families and passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential?Hays Education is working with a welcoming school in Huddersfield to recruit a proactive and dedicated Attendance Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised professional who can build positive relationships with students, parents and staff whilst helping to improve attendance and engagement across the school.

The RoleAs the school's Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting student attendance, safeguarding and pupil welfare, ensuring every child has the best opportunity to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:✅ Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality✅ Following up absences with parents and carers✅ Identifying attendance concerns and trends✅ Maintaining accurate attendance records using school systems✅ Producing attendance reports for senior leaders✅ Working closely with pastoral teams and external agencies✅ Supporting safeguarding and welfare procedures✅ Encouraging strong school-home communication

We're Looking For Someone Who:✔ Has excellent administration and organisational skills✔ Is confident communicating with parents, carers and professionals✔ Can manage sensitive conversations professionally and compassionately✔ Has strong IT and data management skills✔ Is able to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.✔ Has experience within a school, education, safeguarding or office environment (desirable)✔ Is committed to supporting positive outcomes for young people
