Based at Cliffview Court, Arbroath.
These jobs are workstyle 1 - Fixed.
In this workstyle most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.
Cliffview Court, Arbroath and Chapel Bond, Montrose provide accommodation with support for individuals with severe and enduring mental health problems.
Tenants/Service Users receive 24 hours integrated Health and Social Care support within their own homes. Most tenants require substantial assistance to maintain their own tenancies within the community and support needs to be flexible to ensure their identified needs are met.
Working 30 hours per week, you will provide assistance to people living with a mental health diagnosis in the community. Duties will include: providing assistance with daily living tasks, involvement in the ongoing assessment and review of service users needs, assisting service users to maintain social contacts and to make use of available services and information.
You must have good oral and written communication skills, experience of working with people with a mental health diagnosis and of carrying out personal care.
As part of the team, you must be able to work unsupervised, independently and on your own initiative as required. You must have sensitivity and understanding in dealing with vulnerable people, a non-judgemental and respectful attitude along with the ability to act appropriately in a crisis situation.
You will be expected to work a 24 hour, 7 days shift pattern, which comprises of :
Early = 8am-4pm, mid = 9am-5pm, late = 1pm-9pm, night duty = 9pm - 7.30am.
Applicants must be reliable and flexible in terms of meeting the changing needs of the service.
Successful applicants will be given access to all mandatory and specific training required for the role/service.
