We are currently recruiting
Relief Healthcare Assistants to support residential services for adults with intellectual disabilities in
Louth and surrounding areas.
As a Relief Healthcare Assistant, you will play an important role in providing high-quality, person-centred support to residents, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.
This is a varied role that may involve working across different shifts and services depending on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
•
Provide person-centred care and support to residents in a residential setting.
•
Assist residents with their daily living activities while promoting independence and choice.
•
Support residents with personal care, where required.
•
Support residents to participate in social, recreational and community activities.
•
Assist with implementing individual care and support plans.
•
Support individuals with challenging behaviours in a calm, respectful and professional manner.
•
Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
•
QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification
• Minimum
6 months' experience working with adults with challenging behaviours.
• Previous experience working in an intellectual disability, social care, healthcare or residential care setting is highly desirable.
•
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•
A compassionate, patient and person-centred approach.
•
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
•
Current legal entitlement to work in Ireland.
