We are currently recruiting for Kitchen Assistant with previous experience working in a catering or kitchen environment at Cygnet Hospital Ealing. Our current need is to cover early and late shifts, working full-time (37.5 hours a week) across a 7 day rota (Monday - Sunday) Early shift times - 7:30am - 3:30pm Late shift times - 10am - 7pm You will assist the Chef in ensuring that all catering areas are maintained in a hygienic, clean, tidy and safe manner, as per the operational standards, and assist in all relevant aspects of the catering operation as required. Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Hospital. To maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude toward clients, their fam ilies, staff, visitors and others Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations. We're looking for people who have... Previous catering experience Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety Training Passionate about catering, preferably with experience within a care setting Enthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team member Polite & professional, with a positive attitude at all times Be a good communicator and able to liaise with people at all levels Have good personal hygiene standards Able to work on your own initiative & under supervision Diligent & take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate In return we will offer you... £14.50 per hour Employee Discount Scheme Regular coaching and support Subsidised meals Expert supervision & support Pension scheme Plus much more Please note: successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
