Summary

Strategic Planning and Service Development To provide expert leadership, governance and oversight for all Non-Medical Prescribers and non-medical prescribing activity To ensure that non-medical prescribing practice is safe, legally compliant, evidence based and aligned with national and local frameworks To lead the development, implementation and evaluation of ABC's non-medical prescribing strategy and appropriate quality improvement projects Develop and maintain robust clinical governance arrangements for non-medical prescribing including audits, incident reviews and safety monitoring Quality Improvement and Data Oversight Monitor prescribing trends within the non-medical prescribing team Ensure service and prescribing audits are completed, reported and actions followed up as necessary Identify improvements and developments in non-medical prescribing activity, working closely with the appropriate Service Manager(s) to ensure implementation Leadership, Workforce Development and Line Management Develop and implement competency frameworks, supervision models and CPD plans for Non-Medical Prescribers Leading and managing ABC's team of Non-Medical Prescribers including supervision, competency development and performance oversight Lead recruitment, induction and performance management of Non-Medical Prescribers Support Non-Medical Prescribers in maintaining competence and developing their scope of practice Support workforce capability and confidence in prescribing To provide structured clinical supervision and guidance to all Non-Medical Prescribers To provide and facilitate reflective learning Key Working Relationships Medical Director Head of Core Clinical Services Service Managers Non-Medical Prescribers Head of Quality ICB Medicine Optimisation Team Study Leave/Training There are opportunities for a study leave allowance. Supervision Regular supervisions on a one-to-one basis including an annual formal appraisal will be held with a line manager. If you are in a patient-facing role, you will also receive regular Clinical Supervisions with a Clinical Supervisor.
