Your new companyYou will be joining a well-established construction contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across South Wales. Operating across commercial, residential, education and public sector developments, the company is looking for reliable and hardworking labourers to support ongoing construction projects.This is an excellent opportunity to secure consistent work with a reputable contractor delivering a range of exciting projects.
Your new roleAs a Labourer, you will play a key role in supporting site operations and ensuring projects progress safely and efficiently.Your duties will include:
- Assisting tradespeople with day-to-day site activities.
- Moving materials and equipment around the site.
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Maintaining site cleanliness and welfare facilities.
- Clearing waste and ensuring safe disposal of materials.
- Supporting general site set-up and dismantling activities.
- Assisting with basic construction tasks as directed by site management.
- Ensuring walkways and working areas remain safe and free from hazards.
- Following all site health and safety procedures.
- Carrying out any other labouring duties required by the Site Manager.
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working on construction sites and be comfortable carrying out physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.You will also demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a labourer on construction sites.
- A valid CSCS Card.
- Strong awareness of construction site health and safety.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A reliable and hardworking attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to take instruction and work using your own initiative.
- Flexibility to undertake a range of site duties.
- Full PPE.
- Immediate availability would be advantageous.
Desirable:
- Manual Handling Certificate.
- Previous experience on commercial, residential or refurbishment projects.
- Full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
